Position Description:
Program Director responsibilities are divided between staff supervision and providing direct services. Staff includes music therapists, Internship Director, interns and SOULifters (trained musicians providing music enrichment programs aka drum circles). Direct services include 1:1 and groups for medical and/or mental health populations at CCTA office and other facilities in southern Nevada.

Established in 1990, CCTA is the only music therapy community-based clinic in Clark County (two million people) located on the College of So. Nevada’s West Charleston Campus. Providing 3,000 sessions annually to 750 clients, CCTA provides create arts programming through therapeutic applications to better serve all ages in education, health and social service settings.

Full Time Music Therapy Position
*Take over an established caseload of clients: 2 clinic days, 3 in-home days (East Valley)*

START DATE: June 7

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Provide community and clinic based ongoing 1:1 and group music therapy to
a variety of clientele (primarily DDD individuals with developmental
disabilities ages 12 months – 22 years.)
Conduct evaluations and provide parent training/in-home programming
Consult with other music therapists and attend staff meetings

QUALIFICATIONS:
Current Board Certification
Experience working with children
Experience writing goals and implementing evidenced-based interventions
Experience in a community setting
Ability to work independently

QUALIFICATIONS:  Therapist must have MT-BC status or intent to take exam.  Additionally, therapist must be enthusiastic and excited to become part of an interdisciplinary team.  Therapist must be comfortable adapting interventions to assist individuals with varying functioning levels and needs.  Therapist must also be willing to commit to attendance of staff meetings where he/she will be able to receive/provide support to other therapists within agency as well as gain continued education opportunities.
