"When we look at the body of evidence that the arts contribute to our society, it's absolutely astounding. Music Therapists are breaking down the walls of silence and affliction of autism, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease."
-Michael Greene, President & CEO of NARAS - 1997 Grammy Awards

The Bachelor's degree is a four and a half year program that prepares an individual to take the Certification Board for Music Therapist's exam and earn the national professional credential of Music Therapist-Board Certified.

This degree and credential allows an individual to work as a music therapist anywhere in the country. The equivalency program is designed for individuals who hold a bachelor's degree in music and who want to become a board certified music therapist.
